Avec sa belle couleur violine peu soutenue, ce vin domine par sa belle gourmandise, sa fraîcheur, son fruit « pur Gamay ». Il joue la simplicité. Sa bouche est sur une trame fruits rouges style framboises, une pointe de poivre blanc. Il accompagnera un beau fromage de tête par exemple.
