Jean Bacquaert owned the lands where tobacco was grown since 1950. His son Yves was a wine merchant and he shared his passion for wine with his son Martin.
Martin Bacquaert did his studies of winegrowing and winemaking in Montpellier and Bordeaux, then he worked in Italy and France before to set up his own business.
Entre-Deux-Monts was founded in 2004. It grows from 3 hectares in 2004 to 18 hectares in 2020. The soil consists of sandy loam mixed with iron sandstone and flint. This plays a major role in the typicity of the wines. Martin planted Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Auxerrois, Pinot Noir, Kerner Siegerrebe and Acolon.
