The story of Steinbock Spirits began on 27 August 2019. We first had the idea of creating our own gin while having dinner together. This initial "schnapps idea" developed step by step into a vision and a concrete plan. The first experiments with various recipes were not long in coming and confirmed our plans.

The story of Steinbock Spirits began on 27 August 2019. We first had the idea of creating our own gin while having dinner together. This initial "schnapps idea" developed step by step into a vision and a concrete plan. The first experiments with various recipes were not long in coming and confirmed our plans.

Now it was a matter of getting a concrete idea of the product's goal: What should it be? What should the gin stand for and what characteristics should it have? Our common sign of the zodiac gave us the direction: Capricorn. The gin should reflect the habitat as well as the characteristics and the character of the Alpine ibex. The company name was therefore also obvious, and on 9 July 2020 we formally founded Steinbock Spirits GmbH, based in Kollbrunn.

After numerous experiments, we produced our first batch of Aronia Premium Dry Gin at the beginning of August 2020, which has since received several awards at national and international spirits awards. In spring 2023, we were able to launch our second spirit, Spiced Orange Premium Dry Gin.
