At the high-altitude Cumulus Estate vineyard in Orange, NSW, Debbie can produce a very different style of wine to that from typically warmer wine regions in Australia, a style with generosity of fruit, touches of spice and an elegant, well-balanced structure. In Orange the nights are cool which keeps all the liveliness and freshness in the white wines. At 2,000 feet the ultra-violet light is intense producing luscious, ripe red wines with depth of colour and flavour and fine, silky tannins. The international accolades for Rolling wines reflect the successful combination of Debbie’s winemaking skills and a dedicated viticultural team in the estate vineyards. Rolling Shiraz at high altitude takes on a spicy note and Chardonnay can be made with no oak and still have a creaminess which gives a tantalizing balance to up-front tropical fruit flavours. The best of both worlds!
